Job Politics

Submitted by Mark on Mon, 09/03/2007 - 3:08pm.

Looks like I've worked well enough on the River Landing job to be stuck there. Well maybe not; the two guys that are going to another job tomorrow are going to a job where they will be doing blocking for windows and coping on top of parapet walls.

Not exactly trim work. I may be stuck there but I am doing trim work not framing work.

New Gig

Submitted by Mark on Sun, 09/02/2007 - 10:16am.

I've got a new gig with an outfit named Johansen Construction Company. They primarily do commercial trim work. It's owned by Robert Johansen who seems pretty laid back.

One of his major clients is Frank L. Blum Construction. I'm working on the River Landing project. After three weeks on this job it's already boring. Two and three bedroom apartments, 10-12 doors and base. A three man crew can do one a day.

Migration Continues

Submitted by Mark on Sun, 07/01/2007 - 7:34am.

But not without some problems. The flickr block is not updating. I thought it was supposed to show my latest photos but maybe I'm mistaken.

Also I still have some work to do on the stylesheet; underline links on hover and some link colors don't match.

Post some carpenter content!

Migration Progress

Submitted by Mark on Sat, 06/16/2007 - 5:38pm.

I've made much progress today on the css. But no progress or virtually no progress on getting the master bedroom ready to paint.

Off my ass and to work. The room's walls have to be mopped down to get rid of some of the tars from smoking.

Site Migration

Submitted by Mark on Thu, 06/14/2007 - 7:02pm.

I'm moving some content over from the site I've been hosting from home. I just don't want to do it from home anymore; although I could change my mind on that....

Starting on the style sheet today.
